What is diy marketing tools

The Concept

Diy Marketing Tools was a web site design concept started in 2005 but as web experts we didn’t have the time to actually make the site come to life. Hence we were working on client’s website projects.

The original site was going to be just another directory site, but directories are a dime a dozen, and a majority of them fall short of user expectations, lack functionality, and some are costly. So we went back to the drawing board.

Problem: How do you build a site that isn’t all about us, but about the businesses contributing? The web site will have to market businesses effectively using up to date technology.

Solution: Build a website that focuses on user generated content that people may find interesting, and that can be found in one to many target areas. Enhance the user experience by providing useful information, and maintain a minimal pool of business listings, and advertising services.

Minimal = “If everyone plays then nobody wins.”

Why did we build the site? In the past we have seen many problems with other web sites that have attempted to do the same thing. After looking at the usability, functionality, and really delivering the entire web experience these web sites fall short of the big picture. The directory approach is old news and our thinking is if everyone plays then nobody wins.

What we didn’t want was the in your face marketing, useless information or poor search engine placement. Our intent was to build a user friendly, informational site.

Not, but it sounded good… It’s a place for business ideas, information from small to large shops and a slice of green products & services.
