What is a green roof - organic material

Simply defined, a green roof is a roof on a building that is covered with vegetation and growing medium (soil), planted on top of a waterproofing membrane. Precipitation is captured within the planting medium and utilized by the plants. Generally it also includes additional layers of insulation, root barrier, drainage and sometimes even supplemental irrigation systems.

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--Right fielder Christian Overstreet hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning to help Missouri State cap a 6-2 victory over North Dakota State in college baseball Sunday, March 7, at Hammons Stadium. Overstreet was 3-for-4 with four RBIs and shortstop Travis McComack was 3-for-4 for the Bears (4-6), who won three of four games in the weekend series.
